Sandy P. Harrison
Sandy P. Harrison is the Director of the Centre for Past Climate Change and Professor in Global Palaeoclimates and Biogeochemical Cycles in the School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Sciences (SAGES). Sandy’s research focuses on the interaction of climate and the terrestrial biosphere, in the geologic past and the present, using models and data analysis. She has extensive experience in large-scale data analysis for model development, evaluation and benchmarking, and is a world-leader in the synthesis of palaeoenvironmental data and its use in evaluation of the climate models used for future projections. She is Co-Chair of the Palaeoclimate Modelling Intercomparison Project and Chair of the International Council for Science (ICSU) World Data Service.
